What is home

What is a home? Is it a shelter from the outside world, a place to store our stuff, a character in our story tied to the memories we create? It’s where we spend most of our time and most people go through life on autopilot, carrying out the same routines and thoughts as the day before, and the day before that. We spend our time interacting with furniture that works well enough to get the job done and don’t pay much mind to it.

What if we change our perspective on what home is? What if we start creating spaces to live and thrive with intentionality? If home is where the heart is, shouldn’t we put our heart into our home?

I believe that furniture is more than something that gets the job done. I believe it has the ability to continually enhance the joy of coming home after a hard day at work, a long trip, or even a simple grocery run. While the conscious mind is able to process 40 bits of information per second, the subconscious is processing 11 million at the same time. The energy that our environment emits is always felt at some level and the furniture in your home plays an important role in that experience.
