I started building things out of necessity around 2013 when various circumstances called for D.I.Y. projects ranging from simple shelves to chicken coops and a few odd ones in between. What started out as utilitarian work quickly transformed into more refined builds as I gained a deeper appreciation for woodworking and the satisfaction of making meaningful things with my hands.

I believe that furniture is important in the way it influences our lives. A piece of furniture can transform a room, not only aesthetically, but it changes the energy which can be for better or worse. Good furniture changes the mood, the tone, the sound and feel of the space where it resides. The experience of walking into a room and being pleasantly greeted never gets old and a well built piece will do that for several lifetimes. Equally important is its function because if it doesn’t do the job well, then it will always be a source of frustration.

These are the beliefs and intentions that I carry through each project that I work on. Whether it is paint grade or a high luster finish, everything that comes out of my shop is treated with the same level of care and attention to detail. Every board is carefully selected and parts are found by following the natural flow of the grain. All of my furniture is built to allow for wood movement so the piece can live and breathe without fighting itself for generations to come.

Everything I make is with purpose, and it is my goal to create beautiful heirloom furniture that enhances the joy and comfort of coming home.
